Shopper : Which fins are faster, Aqua Lung Stratos 3 or Mares Superchannels?JEFF D : I don't think there's a test that will give you the answer you need. Both products are good. I would recommend selecting the one that fits you best - checking for full foot versus those that require booties. I prefer the Mares because I've have them for 30 years. They last and Mares always stood behind them. They are flexible, light and give me the control I want. I use them for warm water diving but prefer booties and strap fins in colder water. My answer is to not use speed as a deciding factor. You will learn how to maximize speed once you use them. Want speed? Get those 3' monsters.

Overall length is approximately 25 7/8" at the longest (slightly shorter if measured along the centerline of the fin). Distance along the center from the tip to the front of the toe pocket is about 15".Ken N : Size 6-7 (MD) is 23.5 inches. Size 8-9 (ML) is 24.5. Size 11-12 (XL) is 26.5. These are the ones I purchased for our family. I can't speak for the other sizes. My foot size is 12.5 and the XL fins do run big. I wear dive socks with the fins and they fit great.
Thomas G : I wear a us 10 shoe size. What would be the right size? I heard they run large. Would an ML be too small?AARON G : I typically wear a size 10 wide in Men's, or 9.5 wide if the shoe is really generous, and I ordered the Stratos 3 in large. They fit me very wel. Unfortunately, one of my feet is considerably smaller than the other, so I have to order shoes based on the larger foot. Still, even with my smaller foot being a full size less, the large fins still works ok. It's definitely a bit loose compared to my larger foot though, so I believe once I get in open water, I'll wear a neoprene sock in at least my smaller foot, maybe both.HARRY T : I have a size L pair of these Aqualung fins and they fit me well. I wear size US10 or 9.5W shoes (depends on manufacturer, dress shoe vs athletic shoe, etc), and I use these fins with a pair of 2 mm Akona neoprene low-cut socks. The socks were recommended by someone at LeisurePro and were very good advice. This is for warm water scuba. I bought full foot pocket fins so there's no adjustable length, and these have never slipped or fallen off. For me, with socks, the ML might be ok but feel a little tight. I don't know LeisurePro's policy on exchange for different sizes but you might try both of them if you have the time. With the socks, there is no chafing or blistering from the fins ever, even if you get trapped pebbles or sand in the fin with a beach entry. I'd get the socks either way. You can also try calling LeisurePro, the staff seems knowledgeable. I'll also comment that I've only had these fins for about 30 dives (100 ft) and 20 snorkels, so the rubber is high quality and hasn't worn out or stretched, fits like new. Perhaps as it ages I'll have preferred getting the ML. But for now L is very comfortable fit.

Well, they work...
So far I've had only one trip with these, so it's a bit early for a proper review. I did feel like my helicopter had a bit more power, but I didn't get into the fun stuff like reverse frog kicks yet. I'd like them to be a bit lighter, but that's true of everything I travel with these days.

full fit fin was what I wanted
The fins fit great. Compared them to my snorkel fin and they are wider and longer. I haven't used them yet, but since my snorkel fins worked for diving under normal circumstances, I think these will be even better.

So far, so good
I've only had the chance to dive with them one. It was a ripping current that made it had no matter the fins. They seemed to perform well but those two dives made it hard to really evaluate them fairly.

Nice fins
I cannot say I have much experience with fins. In fact, these are my first set. However, they fit and work great. They seem quite stiff out of the water, but in the water seem just about right. They allow me to achieve tremendous speed. When I try the same swimming strokes without them, I feel like I'm going nowhere. Really looking forward to doing some snorkeling with them in Hawaii, and swimming in more local waters, this summer - so far they've only seen pool use!

Excellent Product
These fins have a good balance of effort and power, unlike some too soft fins. I bought these to replace My Akona Pirate fins that wore out after 8 years. I use them for both snorkeling and training several times a week. I would highly recommend them. Fits true to size too.

Aqualung Stratos 3 Fins
I bought these full foot pocket Aqualung Stratos 3 Fins for a scuba trip at the end of a long land vacation trip and I wanted to pack them in a regular medium sized suitcase. You can put them in the case diagonally but you have a large fin. The fit is roomy accommodating a wide foot. I wear size US 10 or 9.5W and bought the size L and wear them with 2 mm Neoprene socks and they fit very comfortably yet securely. Highly recommend.

Finally Found THE one!
These fins have greatly improved my quality of life on our lobster trips to the keys. Every year in content keys, the current gets me. Not anymore! These fins are powerful, but not a ridiculous size like a scuba fin. I do think these would probably be ok for scuba too. if only they came in pink. Sigh. For reference I am a female who wears an 8.5 in sandals/wedges/heels. I ordered the size that corresponded with 38.5.

Run large in size
I'm size 10 width EE shoe, and these fins sized 9 1/2 to 10 1/2 are almost too large for me.
