Quality vest = quality time in the water

My husband purchased this for me prior to a snorkel trip to Cozumel. I was not thrilled, as I consider myself a good swimmer. As it turns out, I was extremely thankful for this vest. After several adjustments, the vest was fairly comfortable. Quality is very good. The vest enabled me to stay in the water longer. Additionally, one day the current was very strong, and having the vest made a huge difference to my comfort and safety.

Poor design and construction of inflation valve

The neck opening was too large for me and the inflation valve was poorly designed. I prefer the valves that twist to open and shut and are metal. This valve's closing was a plastic flip cap tethered by a small strand of plastic which would be susceptible to breakage and loss of cap. Also not as effective for keeping out sand and debris out. The valve was more difficult to open to blow air in. The fabric construction seemed durable, but because of the poor, cheap design of the air valve, I would not recommend the vest. The vest was returned.

Caribbean Dream

I am very pleased with my Reef Tourer vests. I purchased them for a snorkeling trip to the Caribbean and they arrived just two days after I placed my order. They a comfortable, provide the support I wanted and pack and fold up easily. My kids and I both used them and felt comfortable without feeling like we were wearing something too bulky. Very nice product and fabulous service from Leisure Pro.

Great quality.

My vest has not been in the water yet, however it looks and feels like it will do very well. It feels like a strong and durable material and should last a long time. Can't wait to test it out in the water.

I like this product

I snorkle a great deal in the carribean, and as I am in the water for 5 to 6 hours at a time, the vest comes in handy for float breaks.

Not to bad..could use changes

Bought these vests for a group, and while they worked well, the biggest problem was trying to get all the water out of them, as water managed to get into the air bladders. A purge valve of some type would be good.
