Strong Magnets, Stiff Bolt Snap

Took this to Dominica in January 2023 to use with my GoPro camera tray and lights. The cord and magnets are heavy-duty and hold the camera rig close to my body when climbing the boat ladder. The coiled cord stretches out with little resistance for me to use the rig. However, the magnets, if close enough, activate my lights' power switches, turning them on and off. To be fair, that may be due to the type of switches my brand of lights (GoBe) uses and may not affect other brands. The other problem was the bolt snap, which didn't operate smoothly. After putting the snap on my D-ring, I jumped into the water (my very first dive with this product), then realized my rig was gone. Fortunately, a dive buddy found my stuff 20 feet below and about 15 feet downcurrent. The bolt snap was stuck in the open position. On the advice of my buddy, a dive master, I was later careful to confirm the loop was closed on subsequent dives, and later installed a carabiner beside the snap. So, overall, it's a good product. Just not perfect.

Excellent for attaching cameras or flashlights securely to BCD

Excellent, I used this to clip my camera to my BCD when diving. It felt very secure and I never worried about my camera falling off. Super sturdy and looks like it will last a long time.

Buy a lanyard with a clip instead.

I bought it to tie my Video housing to my harness. This lanyard simply does not do the job.

Magna-Clip Good - needs glue pior to usi

I use this clip with my camera. While the camera seems neutrally buoyant, with the clip it will sink indefinitely. I will be attaching some kind of flotation to ensure it floats on the surface. I also found that the magnets weren't sufficiently secured in their plastic housing. When pulled apart the magnets pulled right out of their housing. This was fixed with some hot glue, though epoxy may a better adhesive.
